This wines harks back to the early days of Cockburn’s of Leith. Customers would not order a specific chateau but instead trust the merchant to have selected the best wine of the vintage. Thus the merchant was more important than the winery that made it.

We continue the tradition by bottling a claret that we think offers outstanding value for money. This wine with an elegant ruby colour offers a complex, spicy nose with cherry aromas. Supple and balanced on the palate, it reveals subtle notes of liquorice and plum jam. Pair with duck breasts, red meats and chocolate-based desserts.
