TASTING NOTE
Full of freshness and bright youthful fruits, the 2020 vintage of Woodcutter’s Shiraz
possesses no small amount of exuberance and personality. Aromatic plum and black
cherry with dark chocolate and intensity, yet refined. The balanced palate has a round
central core of black and blue fruit that gives way to a complex mid-palate. While ofering
immense pleasure in its youth, the 2020 Woodcutter’s Shiraz will certainly develop into
an impressive wine with a few more years in the cellar. A fantastic introduction to the
Torbreck range

PRODUCER
Torbreck was created with the aim of building one of the finest wine estates in the world.
It was by drawing on this tradition that Torbreck produced their first wine, RunRig, in
1995 which was crushed from just three tonnes of Shiraz and Viognier grapes. Today,
Torbreck pays tribute to these vineyards with minimal intervention, creating wines of
richness, structure and length that age gracefully.
Whilst the company’s reputation is largely based around its red wines, they have also
used the Descendant vineyard to plant Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne which are
blended into white wine.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Torbreck was established in 1994 from the resurrection of old vines vineyards that had fallen into disrepair on selected sites in The Barossa Valley.
The first two wines quickly attracted a large amount of attention as critics and wine lovers began to laud them. Twenty five years later Torbreck makes 19 different cuvées to continued acclaim, sourcing fruit from a number of ancient, dry-farmed vines in vineyards that are among the best in the Barossa. These wines are considered amongst the very best made in Australia.
