Saint-Péray Grain de Silex Guy Farge is south of Cornas and famous for its clay and limestone soils. Features intense flavours of apricots, jasmine and hint of flint.
Grain de Silex is an atypical Saint-Peray with a majority of Roussanne, which offers great tension and minerality. A cuvée that accompanies well gastronomic starters and see food with finesse.

THE REGION
The Rhône wine region in Southern France is situated in the Rhône valley and produces numerous wines under various Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC) designations. The region’s major appellation in production volume is Côtes du Rhône AOC.
The Rhône is generally divided into two sub-regions with distinct vinicultural traditions, the Northern Rhône (referred to in French as Rhône septentrional) and the Southern Rhône (in French Rhône méridional). The northern sub-region produces red wines from the Syrah grape, sometimes blended with up to 20% of white wine grapes, and white wines from Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier grapes. The southern sub-region produces an array of red, white and rosé wines, often blends of several grapes such as in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The vineyard of Domaine Farge now has 20 hectares of vines, spread along the Rhone valley on four appellations: Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Saint-Péray and Condrieu.
As the estate consists mainly of steep terraced plot, the work of the vine is exclusively manual, from pruning to harvesting.
Looking for a more environmentally friendly work, we have chosen to convert to organic farming.
In order to extend our philosophy in the cellar, we work our wines following the lunar calendar and limiting the use of inputs.
As a good craftsman of the terroir, we are committed to presenting unique wines reflecting our plots and our philosophy.
