The Macallan 35 YO Rivesaltes Finish Blind Summit

£1,250.00

The Rivesaltes finish expression.
Honeyed, layered, and contemplative,
with the quiet complexity of a whisky
that has been given exactly the time
and care it deserved.
NOSE
Preserved marmalade, honey, and dried
apricot, with a gentle thread of sweet spice.
Calm and deeply inviting.
PALATE
Candied orange peel and warm baking spices
over a waxy, settled base. Builds slowly and
keeps giving, the hallmark of old malt handled
with patience and confidence.
FINISH
Long and elegant. Sweet spice, toasted oak,
and dried orange peel, fading gently long after
the glass is set down

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

BLIND SUMMIT

Taking a hands-on approach we taste, source, re-rack, bottle and deliver ourselves. This takes time as there are just two of us, but it’s a rewarding way to stay connected to the whiskies and the people in the industry we love.

THE PROCESS

We source small parcels of whisky, then further mature or re-rack into another cask to add more layers of flavour. The cask selection draws on our collective whisky and wine knowledge.

The labels are the result of local collaborations, working with talented friends and designers to create an original image for each release. The initial image tells a story that is close to us, the artist then interprets that photo into their original design, with a different version appearing on each whisky expression. Cockburns of Leith’s very own Holly Brown designed a release of Blind summits whisky.

Supporting local and small has always been a shared priority, which is why we strive to collaborate with people and businesses in our local Leith community.
