Chardonnay, Bourg Lachamps is Pale straw in colour with white peach and floral lemon notes, a ripe pear length and smooth mineral finish, this chardonnay makes a wonderful partner to poultry, salmon and creamy pasta dishes. The wine also reveals white peach and lemon flavours and ripe pears with smooth mineral finish.
The vineyard is located in the south east of France, in the Valvignères and Vogüé areas. It grows 130ha of Chardonnay. Here, the terroir is known as “gravettes”: 100% clay-limestone soil with few loose aggregation of rock fragments and the grapes are picked when ripe to the maximum.
Traditional – However, we reduce the malolactic fermentation on 50% of the volume to preserve freshness and lightness. We then age in oak around 60% of the cuvée for 6 weeks to bring out more richness. Luc Tallaron has taken great care to vinify at low temperatures, retaining maximum aromas and fine fruit flavors.

THE REGION
The Rhône wine region in Southern France is situated in the Rhône valley and produces numerous wines under various Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC) designations. The region’s major appellation in production volume is Côtes du Rhône AOC.
The Rhône is generally divided into two sub-regions with distinct vinicultural traditions, the Northern Rhône (referred to in French as Rhône septentrional) and the Southern Rhône (in French Rhône méridional). The northern sub-region produces red wines from the Syrah grape, sometimes blended with up to 20% of white wine grapes, and white wines from Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier grapes. The southern sub-region produces an array of red, white and rosé wines, often blends of several grapes such as in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
