Tasting Notes

Brilliant red colour with garnet nuances, this red Sancerre has red berry aromas reminiscent of sweet and sour cherries. Light with soft tannins, this wine is aged in older oak, and shows classic old world Pinot Noir notes including cedar and pencil shavings. Savoury notes on the palate with black pudding and spices. The wine is well balanced and harmonious.

Food Pairing

Savour this wine on its own, or paired with a delicate wild mushroom pasta.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

The domaine was created in the 1980s in Sancerre before it expanded with the acquisition of Domaine de Montbenoit in the Coteaux du Giennois. After travelling the world, the next generation has now returned to the family’s terroirs.
Clément, who has worked as a cellar master in the USA, is now responsible for vinification and sales at the domaine. Florian, building on his experience gained in Burgundy and New Zealand, is now in charge of the work in the vineyards.
