Serving
This quintessential Provence rosé is best drunk chilled on a warm day.
Food Pairing
Delicious on its own, or to accompany summer salads, grilled vegetables and delicate white fish.
Winemaking
Harvest is carried out early in the morning. Vinification consists of pellicular maceration, separation of juices to preserve freshness and cold stalling for more intense aromas. Each parcel and grape variety are fermented separately with a specific process in order to preserve the diversity of the terroirs of the estate, and then meticulously blended. The wines are aged on fine lees with stirring (bâtonnage) to gain roundness.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The 290 hectare Estate of Chateau Routas is located in the Var hinterland, nestled between the old town of Aix-en-Provence, and the white sand beaches that line the Gulf de Saint Tropez. At an altitude of 250 to 270 meters, the estate benefits from a regional microclimate, with lower temperatures than the surrounding area in winter and overnight in summer. The cool terroir and the clay-limestone soils allow a slow maturation of the grapes, which results in balanced wines with a beautiful aromatic freshness. The south-east to south-west exposure allows optimal phenolic maturity. Château Routas is part of the Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation.
