The signature Piqueras Black Label is produced in the region of Almansa, located on high slopes in southeast Spain. Dry and calcareous soil, scarce rain and long periods of sunshine produce grapes with high concentration, deep colour and full of rich aromas. This rich red is made from 50% Monastrell and 50% Syrah and aged for 4-6 months in 300 litre fine grain oak barrels. Medium-bodied on the palate with flavours of ripe red cherries, raspberries, crushed boysenberries, red plums and a touch of vanilla spice on the nose. Lively and elegant with a silky finish.

Bodegas Piqueras is a family winery with more than 100 years of history, now reaching the 4th generation of winemakers, oenologists and viticulturists. We make quality wines and recently started producing a range of organically certified wines using native grapes such as Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell, from the DO Almansa area.
