Bodegas Urbina Rioja Reserva Especial has a dark ruby colour, medium intensity. A nose of medium intensity, with great finesse, revealing dark fruit (sweet cherry) perfectly integrated with oak, a complex aroma with mineral notes, truffle, and spices. Very well-rounded, without any harsh edges, the ultimate expression of harmony and balance. On the palate it confirms the notes perceived on the nose, in a complex and balanced way, with good volume and a silky mouthfeel, with refreshing acidity, elegant and very long.

Working exclusively with Tempranillo grapes from our own vineyards, we practice respectful viticulture, using organic fertilizers, maintaining the richness and structure of the soil, and imparting to the fruit the essence that characterizes Urbina wines. The vines are cultivated using goblet and cordon training systems, without forcing production, with yields between 5,000 and 6,500 kg/ha, following traditional practices and limiting the use of pesticides and fungicides.

During winemaking, we employ native yeasts that give the wine a unique personality, the complexity that characterizes Bodegas Urbina.
