Ca’Brione Blanco Alpi Retiche Nino Negri is Straw yellow in colour with green highlights; intense floral aroma with notes of elder and robinia, hints of white-fleshed fruit, peach and ripe pear; spices recalling Mediterranean herbs and a slight suggestion of sweetmeats. A sense of fulness on the palate with great acidic balance and a finish of natural minerality.
Ca’Brione is an alpine white wine born in 1986. The soil’s geological origins go back to the time when the African and European plates collided so forming the Alps. The great variety of rock thus caused lends both minerality and elegance to the wine.
The vineyards are planted on the slopes of the Rhaetian Alps, along the right bank of the river Adda. The vineyards are south-facing and lie at altitudes between 300 and 550 metres above sea level. Shallow, subacid, loose sandy loam.
An interesting selection of grapes Chardonnay , Sauvignon, Incrocio Manzoni and Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) vinified in white.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The Nino Negri Winery, founded in 1897, is the biggest winery in the Valtellina. The vineyard is the heart of the company with more than 35 hectares of vine-planted land of the winery situated in the most important vineyard designations of the valley. The selection of the grapes and their fermentation in separate vats make it possible to obtain vines that represent the great variety of the soils and the microclimates that are typical of a terraced mountain terroir.
